Eleven Area Wrestlers & One Team Ranked In Latest KWCA Polls

The high school wrestling season continues to move along and all the area grapplers have competed in some competition at this point of the season and have just a few tournaments left before the holiday break. The latest Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association rankings feature 11 area wrestlers and one area team in the polls. 

The biggest jump in the rankings was not an individual grappler for the area but a team who broke into the rankings last week and continue to move up in Class 4A. The Marysville Bulldogs jumped four spots in the 4A rankings this week coming in at #4 this week as a team. A quartet of Bulldog grapplers are in the polls this week. Storm Slupianek leads the charge ranking #3 at 160lbs, while the Jacob Snellings (120lbs), Ethan Crownover (126lbs) and Seth Mooradian (285lbs) each check in at #5 in their respective weight classes. 

Holton Wildcat, Kyler Tannahill remains in the 285lbs Class 4A rankings this week coming in at #3, while one of his teammates broke into the polls for the first time as Lawson Henry is ranked #6 at 138lbs. 

Five area wrestlers are ranked in Class 3-2-1A with four of the five coming at #5 in their weight class. Dalton Ware (120lbs) of Royal Valley, Luke Oatney (138lbs) of Pleasant Ridge, Jared Miller (182lbs) of Oskaloosa and Cauy Rokey (195lbs) of Sabetha all rank fifth this week. The highest ranked area wrestler in 3-2-1A continues to be Riverside Cyclone, Scott Resler who checks in at #3 at 145lbs.
