Atchison Redmen wrestlers opened the season competing against top flight competition at the Eudora Tournament. 

Leading the Redmen on the day was third place showing at 106lbs by Cayden Dotson who after a bye won in the Quarterfinals by pinfall in 3:56 then lost a tough 1-0 decision in the Semifinals. In consolation action Dotson responded with a 14-2 major decision win and then finished the tournament by taking third with a 6-1 decision. 

A 3-2 day on the mats led to fourth place for Collin Moranz at 160lbs picking up two pinfall wins in 5:22 and 58 seconds, while also winning by a 9-5 decision. Both Nick Funk (285lbs) and Riley Smith (220lbs) registered 2-2 days on the mats at Eudora to take fifth place in their weight classes. Funk's two wins were both by pinfall (1:35 and 4:30) and Smith won by pinfall (1:31) and 7-2 decision. 

Gavin Rebant (132lbs) placed sixth picking up his lone win by pinfall (1:39). A early loss didn't stop Jayden Watkins from a 3-2 day on the mats as he placed seventh at 126lbs, while an early loss by Alex Bindel also didn't deter him from finishing strong going 3-1 to place seventh at 170lbs.
