Twin Valley League 8-Man Football All-League Honors Awarded

The high school football season in the 8-Man football scene in the Twin Valley League was capped this year with another State title for the Hanover Wildcats who won the 8-Man DII State title. With another season in the books the TVL 8-Man All-League football honors have been awarded. 

Hanover Wildcats once again controlled the TVL going 5-0 in League play on their way to a 13-0 season in which they won the 8-Man DII State title for the second straight year capturing their fifth State title. On offense the Wildcats had a pair of first team All-League players, while four more earned second team honors. Defensively a pair of Wildcats got the nod for first team while three more earned second team honors. 

The Clifton-Clyde Eagles were back in the playoffs qualifying for the 8-Man DI playoffs and finished the season 7-2 overall and 3-0 in League games. Four Eagles earned first team All-League on defense, while two got the first team nod for first team All-League offense and one more second team on offense. While Ian Bergstorm was awarded the special Inspirational award from the TVL. 

Axtell Eagles earned a bid to the 8-Man DII playoffs and finished 6-4 on the season going 3-1 in TVL action. A trio of Eagles earned first team All-League honors on offense with one more earning second team honors. On defense one Eagle earned first team All-League defense and three more picked up second team honors. 

Both Frankfort and Linn finished the season 4-5 on the season with the Wildcats going 3-3 in TVL action and Linn went 2-2 in TVL contests. The Wildcats had one athlete earn first team All-League on defense with one more getting second team honors, while on offense one Wildcat picked up second team honors. For Linn one Bulldog picked up first team All-League honors on offense and another second team on defense. 

Wetmore Cardinals posted 3-6 record in only their second season back with varsity football going 2-4 in TVL play. One Cardinal earned All-League honors picking up second team defense All-League. 

Onaga and Blue Valley both finished the season 1-8 overall on the year with both teams getting their wins outside of TVL play. The Buffaloes had one first team honoree on both offense and defense for All-League honors and one more earn second team All-League honors on defense. For Blue Valley a pair of Rams earned All-League honors with one named second team offense and the other second team defense.
