Tonganoxie kept its perfect season intact Friday night with a 49-0 win over Atchison in the first game of Class 4A-1 district action.

An excellent Senior Night crowd saw the Redmen commit two turnovers in the first three minutes of the game in Amelia Earhart Stadium. Tonganoxie took full advantage and broke out to a quick 13-0 lead just over two and a half minutes in and they were off and running. Runningback Corbin Ridel scored three touchdowns for the Chieftans while Dalton Bach added two more and quarterback Mason Beach threw a pair of touchdown passes.

Tonganoxie moves to 7-0 on the season while Atchison goes to 4-3. Next up for the Redmen will be a trip to Basehor-Linwood next Friday night as district play moves into week two.
