Three Twin Valley League volleyball teams continued their season with tournament action on Saturday as they competed at the Republic County Invitational. 

At the end of the day it was third, fourth and seventh place finishes for the Twin Valley League trio as Hanover, Clifton-Clyde and Linn registered those finishes on the day. 

Hanover started their day in pool in the Blue pool going 2-1 with a straight set wins over Linn and Pike Valley, while falling to Smith Center in straight sets. Then in the Semifinals Hanover lost to Beloit in straight sets. That loss set up a showdown with showdown with fellow TVL school Clifton-Clyde in the third place match a match that went three sets with the Wildcats taking the win giving Hanover a 3-2 day on the court.  

Clifton-Clyde put together a 2-3 day taking fourth at the tournament. The Eagles in the Red pool went 2-1 beating Thayer Central in a tough three set battle and topped Republic County in straight sets, while falling to Beloit in straight sets. In the Semifinals the Eagles lost a tough contest against Smith Center and then faced off with Hanover in the third place match going three sets taking the first but ultimately falling in the match to finish fourth at the tournament. 

The Linn Bulldogs finished seventh on the day going 2-3 on the day. In pool play in the Blue pool Linn lost in straight sets to Hanover and Smith Center, while beating Pike Valley in three sets. In the consolation Semifinals Linn fell to Thayer Central but bounced back by beating Pike Valley for the second time on the day this time in straight sets to take seventh at the tournament.
