Legion baseball action in the NEKL continues on Monday night with a non-league doubleheader between two League teams as Silver Lake will host Doniphan County.

Sabetha Snags Non-League Win Over Wymore

Taking advantage of miscues and errors usually pays dividends and on Friday Sabetha was able to do just that to earn the 7-1 win over Wymore.

The scoring started early with four runs in the first for Sabetha plating those runs on four Wymore errors including a double steal throwing error and a pair of wild pitches helped the cause. Sabetha added to their tally with three runs in the second with capitalizing on two more Wymore errors and it was 6-0 after just the first two innings.

Mother Nature also played a factor in the game also as the rain came and the game was called in the bottom of the sixth giving Sabetha the 7-1 win.

Trevor Kramer paced Sabetha on the mound tossing all six innings giving up one unearned run on two hits and striking out seven. While Joe Gruber and Seth Burdick each had two hits and two runs scored and Gruber recorded the only RBI of the game.
