Big Seven All-League Softball Honors Awarded

The Big Seven League softball season is in the books and it proved to be a competitive one throughout the season and even had the addition of a new team to the fold. With the season in the rear view mirror the All-Big Seven League honors have been handed out. 

Perry Lecompton Kaws earned the Big Seven League title and posted their best record in school history qualify for the Class 3A State tournament and finishing fourth place. Four Kaws earned first team All-League honors, while two more picked up honorable mention honors. Harleigh Robertson was named first team at outfield, while Abbi Folks earned first team in the infield. Megan Fast and Graci Folks each picked up first team honors at pitcher and catcher, respectively. Cassody O'Connor and Ronna Erickson each snagged honorable mention honors. 

Royal Valley Panthers finished second in the Big Seven and also have four players selected first team All-League. Ali Bryan picked up the honors at outfield, while Sarah Beam snagged first team honors at infield, Maggie Schuetz was named first team at catcher and Masey Lafferty earned first team honors at utility/DH. Lexi Baker, Danielle Stithem, McKenzie Ogden and Emily Albright each picked up honorable mention honors. 

Finishing third place in the League standings was the Holton Wildcats who placed two with first team All-League honors as Savanna Booth and Casi Van Ausdall got the honors at outfield and infield. While, Annalyss Phillips snagged honorable mention honors. 

Jeff West Tigers who placed fourth in the League standings finished out the first team All-League honors with Riley Buss and Kaileigh Wright each getting the nod at utility/DH and infield. Tayler Metzger and Kiley Biltoft each picked up honorable mention honors for the Tigers. 

Nemaha Central, Sabetha, ACCHS, Riverside and Hiawatha each had one player pick up honorable mention All-League honors. Shania Schraad earned the honors for Nemaha Central, while Karlie Spielman picked up the honors for Sabetha. ACCHS Tiger, Ashton Appel got the nod for the Tigers and Payton Morgan snagged the honors for Riverside. For Hiawatha, Bethany Meyers earned the honorable mention honors.
