Perry Lecompton, McLouth & Pleasant Ridge Compete at Eudora Track Relays

A trio of area schools continued their track seasons at the Eudora Cardinal Relays on Thursday competing against some top flight competition. 

Perry Lecompton, McLouth and Pleasant Ridge all were in action at the Cardinal Relays and it was the Kaw girls claiming the top area team performance taking second out of 13 schools, while Mclouth girls finished eighth and Pleasant Ridge 13th. On the boys side of competition the three area teams finished ninth, tenth and 11th as McLouth, Pleasant Ridge and Perry Lecompton registered those finishes in the that order. 

On the way to second place as a team the lady Kaws of Perry Lecompton notched four first place performances and 11 Top three showings. In the field events both Talisa Stone and Haley Kellum grabbed first place finishes winning the high jump (5'01) and triple jump (30'09), respectively. While on the track Lexia Jamison earned first in the 800 meter run (2:33.38) and Cali Coleman won the 100 meter dash (12.98). Coleman added to her day by also placing second in the long jump and third in the 200 meter dash, while Blaise Ball earned third in the 3200 meter run and Rylee Paramore placed second in the 300 meter hurdles. Lady Kaws 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay teams each raced to second place finishes and Morgen Coyle tossed her way to the silver in the javelin. 

The Kaw boys were led by Torin Van Nest who won the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.30. 

Leaping ability of Dimitri Tullis highlighted the action for McLouth as he won both the long jump and triple jump after recording leaps of 20'09 and 41'06.50. On the girls side of competition Sarah Dailey took second in the shot put and Ceara Funk placed second in the 3200 meter run. 

Pleasant Ridge Rams were led by a second place finish in the boys 3200 meter run by Clayton Price, while the boys 4x100 meter relay took third and Luke Oatney earned third placed in both the 800 and 1600 meter runs. Mallory Wagner had the top lady Rams performance finishing third in the triple jump.
