On Dec. 15, the Maur Hill-Mount Academy girls suffered their first and only loss of the season to Valley Falls.
Tuesday night in Atchison the Lady Dragons gave them their second, 39-26, to remain unbeaten on the season at 15-0.
MH-MA started strong and led 10-8 after the first quarter behind six points from senior Avery Lewman on a 3-for-3 effort from the charity stripe.
Valley Falls battled back behind a spark off the bench in Allison Kearney, as the sophomore drilled back-to-back 3-pointers to allow the Lady Dragons to take an 18-16 lead into the break.
The Lady Dragons extended their lead to 10 points heading into the fourth, after forcing five MH-MA turnovers in the third quarter.
Valley Falls used the clock as their friend in the fourth, working the ball around the perimeter to salt the game away.
The Lady Dragons (15-0, 11-0) now head to Winchester for a matchup with JCN (8-7, 6-5) Friday. Next up for MH-MA (14-2, 10-2) is Immaculata (8-8, 5-7).

Behind 15 first half points from senior Marty Gatzemeyer, the Valley Falls boys remained in a tie for second atop the NEKL with a 38-32 win over MH-MA.
Both teams used their inside game early combing for nine points in the paint with the Dragons holding a 12-8 lead after one.
The Dragons (11-4, 9-2) extended their lead to seven at the half, 22-15, behind six points from Gatzemeyer.
MH-MA (8-8, 6-6) pulled back within three heading into the fourth after holding the Dragons to just four third quarter points, but missed opportunities and shots down the stretch allowed Valley Falls to escape.
