The 2016 PIoneer Conference Tournament wrapped up Saturday in Friend.

The Falls City Sacred Heart Girls, ranked first in Calss D2 defeated Class D1 3rf ranked Friend 50-40 to win the title.  Haylee Heits led teh Irish with 18 points in the title game.  Sacred Heart adds the conference tropy to the MUDECAS Tournament title won in January and the Freeman Holiday Tourrnament Championship won in December.

Sterling finished third with a 46-41 win over Lourdes Central Catholic.

The Lourdes Central Catholci Knigths of Nebraska City won the boys title, which meant a title sweep for teh tournaments top seeded teams.  The Knights defeated Lewiston 59-34 in the championship game.  HTRS defeated Pawnee City in overtime 38-34 for third place.
