Falls City Tigers Roar to Fifth Win

The Falls City Tigers are 5-1 following Friday nights 40-13 win over the Louisville Lions (1-5).

Falls City led 21-7 after one quarter jumping on the back of junior runningback Zayne Heckenlively who scored on runs of 42 and 46 yards in the first period. Heckenlively rushed for 228 yards and 4 TD's int the game scoring from 21 yards out in the third quarter and 15 yards out in the final stanza.

Heckenlively now has 1002 yards rushing in six games this season averaging 167 yards per game and 9.4 yards per attempt.  

Defensively Heckenlively picked off a pair of Lions pass attempts and sacked the quarterback during the game.

Bryan Rose had 98 yards rushing a two touchdowns for the Tigers. Rose had 8 tackles on defense a sack and 2.5 tackles for loss.

Louisville cut the Tiger lead to 21-13 with 11:52 to go in the 2nd quarter but the Tigers socred the final three touchdowns of the game. 

Falls City will travel to Johnson County Central Friday night to take on the Thurnderbirds in a game that be be heard live on SUNNY 101.3.
