In the sixth Doniphan County threatened to score again but left the bases loaded after loading them using a hit, walk and Larned error. In the bottom of the sixth the Larned worked the bases loaded before there was an out recorded and behind three hits, a Doniphan County error and a walk plated two runs to take the 2-0 lead going into the top of the seventh.

Schmille led the seventh off reaching on a hit by pitch, while Reid Greaser followed with a single and on a throw to third Schmille was safe at third and Greaser moved to second with no-outs. Caleb Winkel then flew out to the second baseman and Chris Winkel hit a groundout but brought in Schmille to make it a 2-1 game with two outs, when Keller flew out to left to end the game.

Larned was paced by Bryant on the mound who earned the win going seven innings giving up a run, on four hits, three walks and two hit batters while striking out six. Mason Schartz led the offense with a 2-2 game with a walk and Isiah Perez was 2-4, while Jonathan Herter and Trey Kraisinger scored the two runs.

For Doniphan County, Watts pitched a strong four-plus innings giving up four hits, four walks and struck out three, while Keller pitched two frames giving up two runs on three hits, a walk and struck out one. Offensively, Cody Israel was 1-3 and reached on an error twice, while Watts was 1-2 with a HBP and Reid Greaser was 1-3 with a walk. Greaser earned McDonald's "Player of the Game" on KNZA, catching a great game for Doniphan County.
