B&B Boys Golf 2-Man 2nd Place Highlights Area Performances at Republic County Invite

Four Twin Valley League boys golf squads hit the course on Tuesday competing at the Republic County Invitational as B&B, Valley Heights, Linn and Washington County took flight on the course.

Topping the area performances on the day was the B&B Falcons who earned second place in the 2-Man competition as Blake Scism and Cameron Haug put up rounds of 90 and 96, respectively to finish tied for 13th and 21st, respectively individually but earn them second as a team with a 186, competing against nine other teams. Falcons 4-Man team took home eighth place of ten teams as Trevor Holthaus (102), Kyle Kramer (107), Dylan Schmitz (110) and Corey Heiman (119) all competed together. B&B 6-Man team took seventh of eight teams that field an full 6-Man squad posting a total score of 624.

Washington County perhaps had the best all-round day of the area teams taking third in the 2-Man competition (187), fifth in the 4-Man competition (396) and the 6-Man competition, too. Hunter Johnson and Evan Oullette combined for the Tigers 2-Man team with rounds of 90 and 97 on the day, respectively. While Matt Small (94), Tyson Hynek (97), Colton Linenberger (102) and Christ Pinnicle (103) combine for the Tigers 4-Man team.

Valley Heights was highlighted by a seventh place team finish in the 4-Man competition as the team posted a score of 433, led by Patrick Hale who finished tied for 21st with a 96 on the day. Alec Doner (101) , Payton Manley (113) and Quentin Blaske (123) rounded out the Mustangs team.

For the Linn Bulldogs they only competed in the 2-Man competition had placed sixth out of 10 teams, as Chase McGatlin and Andrew Meyer put together a score of 206, behind rounds of 99 and 107, respectively.
