Holton Boy's Golf Wins Santa Fe Trail Big Seven Quad

The day started a little rainy but warmed up nice for a solid afternoon for some golf action as Santa Fe Trail hosted three other Big Seven League golf teams for a league quad, as Holton, Perry Lecompton and Jeff West competed against the Chargers.

It was the Holton Wildcats that highlighted the competition continuing their strong boy's golf season thus far as they posted the best 4-man team score on the day to win the league quad with a 160 team score. Kenton Tegethoff paced the Wildcats with a 38 on the day taking first individually, while his teammate, Ethan Holaday shot a 39 for second individually. Braden Sides and Walker Degenhardt rounded out the Wildcats team score posting rounds of 40 and 43, respectively, good for the third and fifth best individual performances on the day.

Jeff West Tigers took home second place as a team finishing 17 strokes behind Holton with a 177 team score. Tigers were led by Aaron Brooks who posted a round of 41, taking fourth place individually on the day. The remainder of the Jeff West's team score consisted of rounds of 44, 44 and 48 by Conner Mickens, Jacob Murdock and Chase Holthaus, respectively.

Perry Lecompton and Santa Fe Trail took home third and fourth in the league quad as teams posting team scores of 193 and 210, respectively. Perry Lecompton was led by Jacob Morgison on the day has he shot a 46, while Santa Fe Trail had their best round come from Adam Fischer who shot a 46.
