Benedictine College athletes continue to to be a positive influence on area young people as the Raven baseball team will once again partner with the Kansas City Sports Commission to conduct the Buck O'Neil Baseball Clinic.
The May 10th clinic will be held in Parade Park in Kansas City, MO, near the site of the Negro League Baseball Museum and will be the second clinic that Raven baseball has conducted for the KCSC. The youth clinic will be staffed by current and former BC players and is free for participants from 6 to 12 years of age.
The mission of the Youth Clinic Series is to provide sport-specific clinics which will educate participants in the basic skills of the sport along with an education component. The fall clinic which was conducted by Raven baseball featured sessions in basic hitting mechanics, fielding techniques, throwing mechanics and a session on playing sports drug free.
